Holiday Snaps

I recently got back from a little 5 day holiday in Alcudia (Mallorca) with my boyfriend. It was partly to celebrate finally finishing my 2nd year of Uni, but also because I really needed a break from everything that's been stressing me out!

Alcudia is an absolutely beautiful place that I highly recommend for families and young couples. We stayed in the Sol Center Apartments, which were basic but very nice. There were a few loud drunk people some nights that hung around near our apartments - as there is a nightclub about 100m away - but other than that I have no complaints.

The one thing I adore about the Med is the food. It's so fresh and so flavoursome. If you're ever in Alcudia then I highly recommend that you check out S'anfora and Syrah. They're owned by the same people and both the food and service are amazing. It's so lovely to be treated like individuals, unlike in the majority of the chain restaurants here whereby they are forced to stick to rules and routines.

I also noticed in one of the pharmacies that La Roche-Posay exists for children! I thought some of the bbloggers might enjoy this find ;) (unless you already knew...)

Lots of love

My absence

Hi everyone! Long time no see. I've been absent from the blogging world for some time. I don't owe anyone an explanation, but I would like to share my reasons with you anyway.

Last December my father passed away. I don't want to go into much detail but I will say that he was a healthy man, so it came as a huge shock to my family as well as everyone who knew him.

I was at a complete loss blogging wise/uni wise for quite some time. Every time I attempted to write anything, it just felt completely meaningless.

That was until very recently. One of my favourite youtubers, Becky Sheeran, tragically experienced a very similar loss to my own. Instead of quitting or giving up, she continued to make videos, and I can see that it must be very helpful and therapeutic for her to remain busy, doing the things she has always loved to do.

My dad was my little blog's biggest fan, so I've decided to carry it on for both myself and for him.

I am days away from the end of my second year as an English student, so expect regular blogging to resume from now on!

Snap Out Of It

Dress - Asos
Boots - Topshop
Earrings - Topshop

I absolutely adore this dress! I bought this and one other pattern. I have to wear a belt with them though because I have quite a small frame and so unfortunately anything slightly voluminous fits more like a tent. They're perfect for wearing with tights in the daytime but could also easily be dressed up nicely for a night out!

I bought these boots from Topshop a couple of weeks ago and at least three people have stopped me and asked where they're from! They're so comfy, the perfect height and for only £42 it was a no-brainer for me. Had to have them. I promise I did clean them after a muddy performance on Bonfire Night but I see some I've missed (oops)!

I've been so busy recently but I don't know how to fill you in! I really should blog more! I'm hoping to go to London tomorrow to get my hands on this foundation and also a few bits before I head to Barcelona in a couple of weeks - but to keep up with what I'm up to you can follow me on twitter and instagram.

Speak soon!

She's A Certified Mind-Blower

All - Topshop

I'm sure it's pretty common for us girls to pull an outfit out and realise a little later that it's entirely Topshop! Woops. I got these leggings/trousers earlier this week and they're so comfy. Personally I'd wear them casually like this or with heels and a nice top to dress them up a bit, I think they're really versatile! The jumper is one I've had for a couple of years and I'm sure you can find a similar one pretty much anywhere - it's just a really loose fitting dark grey that is great for layering.

I've never been the sort of person to experiment with lip colours much. Pretty much every lipstick or equivalent that I own is a nudey/pinky peach colour. On Saturday night I went to see Bastille with my cousin and she bought with her a dark red lip glass from Mac which she let me try a bit of. Surprisingly I really liked it and even wore it out afterwards, so recently I've been trying to experiment more. This colour I'm wearing now is a Topshop lip bullet in 'Heartbeat'. I think I'm warming to it!

Today I've just been keeping warm at home and working on some writing for University. It's sooo cold. Not that I'm complaining, I'm a winter lover!

Let Me Be Your Coffee Pot

Top - Zara
Everything Else - Topshop

I have been such a bad blogger recently *slaps wrists*. I have been pretty ill and also went up to Scotland for a wedding. You can see photos of the things I get up to whilst I'm not blogging on my instagram page.

Today I just had to pop into town and run a few errands, now I'm back it's time to sort out my nightmare of a bedroom, listen to AM for the millionth time and organise University! It was so cold outside though, I'm just ready to cuddle up in bed with a hot chocolate, or preferably a chocolate & orange mocha latte from Costa, which I fell in love with recently. So yummy. As you can probably tell from the photos, I was having incredible trouble with lighting! There are no good rooms in this house and I didn't fancy standing in the rain haha!

I bought this faux fur gilet in Topshop in Brent Cross earlier this week. It's sooo soft, I love it. I'm a little bit mad for faux fur so it was an obvious love-at-first-sight item for me! Paired with this big boxy top from Zara and my trusty Alexa boots.

What are you loving this Autumn?
