London Day Out & Mini Beauty Haul!

 photo DSC01746_zpse51586be.jpg

Today my boyfriend and I headed to London to have our first ever Shake Shack experience and to visit South Kensington. It was such a gorgeous day and I managed to get some decent photos! I also made a few beauty purchases which you can find at the end of this post!

I've now been to both Five Guys and Shake Shack, and can easily say that Shake Shack is waaay better. Although I still have tons of other burger places to visit in London, and Byron takes gold for milkshakes, I definitely recommend this place!

We also visited the Natural History Museum, but it was so busy and incredibly hot (seriously, we could barely breathe) so we didn't stay too long. But it was great to see elephants and the blue whale - which is waaay too big to get a full photo of! The skeleton is of an ancient giant sloth, which was easily bigger than an elephant - it's crazy to think they used to exist in that size!

We then went to a place called Paul to get an iced drink and cool down a bit. It was such a cute little place that sold fresh bread, pastries and hot and cold drinks. I'm not sure if you're aware, but this area of South Kensington is known as the French area, as there is a French school, cinema, library, the French institute, and plenty of cafes. The buildings were so detailed and intricate, which I loved. I've never been to Paris, but I imagine it was like a beautiful microscopic version of Paris. I bought a peach iced tea (my fave) which was so fruity and delicious. Sam ordered a fresh lemonade, which was a little too bitter for my liking! He liked it though, so maybe I'm too sensitive!

Sam is a huge Arsenal fan, so no trip to London is complete without a visit to the Emirates Stadium! I don't mind football, and I do enjoy some of the bigger games. Thierry Henry is my favourite, so I had to have a photo with his statue!

Cuticura Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in Passion Flower & Mango

In South Kensington I found a little pharmacy that sold a lot of French products, which was amazing. I could have gone way OTT, but I stuck to the main things I wanted. The Clarins Liquid Bronze is a repurchase from me as I recently ran out. You've probably all heard of it, but it really is the best tan for face I've ever come across. It also generally improves the appearance of my skin, which is always welcomed! I've since used Bioderma upon my return from London, and it definitely rivals my La Roche-Posay micellar water. I'm going to try the Ren cleanser tonight so I'll let you know how it goes! And as for the hand gel, it smells wonderful and is a definite must-have around London, particularly on the underground.
